I just watched a taped show of Jim Shockey hunting in Cameroon I think and they told about this method of hunting Python. I couldn't understand the audio on this tape, but they said the leg was sented with something that attracted the snake and when the snake swallowed the leg it would not reguatate it and they would pull the snake out of the hole and then kill it.

Pretty cool!

I wonder if the liquid they mashed up had an anasthetic property to it? That snake looked pretty out of it.

If I tried the "leg bait" technique it'd be just my dumb luck that the snake would strike at my middle leg.

OMG!

If someone told me we could "catch" a python by me using my leg as bait and sticking it into the hole so the snake could partially swallow it I'd tell them to have their head examined!
