A wonderful picture! All the seasons greetings to you and your family and all the rest of you here at AR.

You all have kept me many hours from doing things that had been more useful in the eyes of others, but I am deeply grateful for all I have learned here and the friends I have made.

Happy Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Martin

Thanks to you Saeed, and the best to you and yours in 2006. The AR site has given all of us the chance to make and meet new friends, expand our knowledge of hunting and shooting, and strengthens our love for the great outdoors wherever that might be in this beautiful world. Your daughter's picture and her wonderful smile reminds us of goodness and innocence, and gives all of us hope for a better world.

Saeed,

I mostly lurk and only occasionally post but want everyone to know how much I enjoy AR. While a lot of stuff has gone down this year about African hunts and trolls etc AR has given me the confidence to book an African hunt.

I've hunted Africa twice - '96 and 2000. Spent by my standards a lot of money. Then, three years ago, I had an accident, spent 6 days in Intensive Care (or Expoensive Scare as we used to call it, when I was an Intern). I had four days on "assisted breathing" ie a machine was doing it for me. I survived psychologically by by remembering those hunts minute by minute over and over again.

I've had some great times in my life - lots of time in the bush in Oz, lots of time living in Mongolia and Tajikistan but, when I needed to have a "real life fantasy world" to escape to, I went back to Afica.

As I said, AR has given me the confidence to borrow money against my house and to book a March 2006 hunt for ele. This is to celebrate my recovery (even though I ain't recovered yet!) I could not have done this without the confidence engendered by AR, making me feel that I am informed enough to make this decision.

Thanks Saeed for making AR available and thank you for allowing it to be the kind of forum that we can have confidence in.

Regards,

Mike
