First let me say thanks for the banner.
We will be in Africa this time next week. One of my sons requests was that if something happened to him that I go to Africa as we had planned .I am going with seven family members.

March 31st 2006 marked the 2 year anniversary of Doyle giving his last full measure of devotion in service to his country. Not a day goes by that I don't think about those five heroes. Not a day goes by that I don't honor their sacrifice. I am profoundly sorry that the cost of our liberty is so high. Things happen for a reason. We can't always understand why as hard as we try.

I wanted to write this note because I love my son and wanted to honor him on this Memorial Day

At the rising of the sun and at its going down, We remember them.
At the blowing of the wind and in the chill of Winter, We remember them.
At the opening of buds and in the rebirth of Spring, We remember them.
At the blueness of the skies and in the warmth of Summer, We remember them.
At the rustling of leaves and the beauty of Autumn, We remember them.
At the beginning of the year and when it ends, We remember them.
As long as we live, they too will live;
for they are now a part of us, as we remember them.
Rest in Peace Dear Soldier!! We will NEVER FORGET!"

There will never be adequate words ...

Only the thanks of a grateful nation (one at a time).

We grieve for your loss, and say "Thank You" for the devotion you inspired.

Although My loss can not compare to yours there
are those of us who carry the pain of the loss
of brothers who died in our arms or worse without us. They are with us every day of our lives as I know your son is with you. You are not alone.
May God comfort you and yours on this and every day.

Elkdom's house is darkened,
the Eleventh Hour is here.
The chimes are calling softly
to our Brothers far and near.
Wherever his footsteps take him,
to near or distant shore,
the Heart of Elkdom beats for him
and for those who come no more.

If you see a Brother falter,
reach out a helping hand ...
His virtues live in memory,
his faults drift with the sand ...

To our Absent Brothers

The price of freedom since 1775 ... paid for by more than one million lives.

Your son's memory will live on in the minds of many.

Doyle,

The memory of your son and those that served with him are not forgotten. May God bless your family and the families of the brave men and women to whom we owe our freedom.

Let us all remember.
