Well we are finally waiting at the SEATAC airport for our first flight on Qatar airlines and headed for a long delay and much anticipated hunting trip to South Africa.
Journey actually started with a drive from Spokane , WA to Seattle on Sun. 9 May. Spent the night with our son, and then first thing this morning went to ARCPoint Labs in Seattle for our Covid 19 PCR test. That process went pretty smooth, we booked appts and paid for this several weeks ago. On arrival at the lab, the techs were helpfull and took us back for a 20 sec nasal swab sample as soon as we got there, even ahead of our appts time. Left the lab and within aboput 90 min were emailed the NEGATIVE test results which we printed out and then did finall packing. Once at the airport the check in with Qatar was pretty painless as I had copies of all needed paperwork for Covid test and gun stuff. Biggest pain was again the security line and the "pull all your stuff out of bag and take stuff off" just so we can repack all in just a few minutes. Typing all this in "The Sea Club" lounge: while we wait for flight boarding and then the long but should be pleasant plane ride in business class to Doha. Spending 18 days hunting and sight seeing out of Grahmstown, South Africa.
Later AR friends.
