woodmanDanOn the subject of Kudu....
The recent threads on Kudu here made me thought of posting this.I was downloading some photo's today into Photobucket and ran across these....
This animal was taken Sept 2007 near Otavi,Namibia.Has a female style body,notice the thin neck and light build.One small testicle but no other female sex organs....
Scored 52" in length but light mass.By the PH/landowners comments;he had seen around for 3 years or so,and I took him from a blind while taking photo's on the last day of hunting.He wanted him removed from the herd and took him as a cull.
I received the skull,and the bone structure is soft and very porrous.So much so he shattered when trying to twist off the cores during the boiling.
375 with a-frames;
The PH/Outfitter and his skinner, Joeseph;
I am just now getting around to finish bleaching him and doing the repairs.....

Blair338/378Good that you shot him, passing those NASTY genes around..no way

Andrew McLarenBlair338/378,
I quite agree with you that it is a good thing he was shot. But as to his ability of passing on those nasty genes? I think there is just no way that excuse of a specimen of kudu would ever be dominant at a cow in oestrus! But, just to be 100% safe, it is good that he was shot!
In good hunting.

L. David KeithTake notice of the natural color of the horns. This is what live Kudu horns look like (in various shades). All of the Kudu I have taken had gray horns, not black. I can only hope Taxidermist's will start to pay attention to this.
