Just curious if there will be any African Outfitters at that other show going on, the SHOT Show in Orlando this week. I know it is mostly industry people but I don't remember if I saw any on the list.

Out of Africa Outfitters was present last year peddling their hunts. There were a few other small SA companies also, but they didn't offer anything worth remembering. Just an opinion, but I would stay way the hell away from Out Of Africa outfitters. Do a search on the company here on the forum, that should tell you everything you need to know.

The shot show is not open to the public and the attendence won't be like Dallas, Reno, or eastern sports show in Pa.

There has been several outfitters show up for the SHOT Show in the last few years. Most North American oufitters, but maybe a dozen Africans there too [including OoA!].

Most seem to be there attempting to set up relationships with Dealers to sell or promote their hunts, though I'm sure they sell a few hunts to attendees in the process! I do not recall seeing many repeat attendees however, [except OoA] so I'm not sure how well the plan is working. I do understand that it is A LOT cheaper than the other shows, but I'd think the choice would be DSC this week - they're not always at the same time however.

I do look forward to talking to those outfitters who are there though. Always something to be learned.

I have to be at the SHOT show this week, DSC was not an option. I was just curious if any outfitters would be there that I could talk to. I look forward to handling all the new guns the manufacturers have to show.

I know the OOA safaris history on this forum so I know well to avoid them. I hope there will be others there to talk to as well though.

I have to be there too and I dread it. Leave tomorrow and home on Sunday. I don't get to go to SCIin Reno either - but I will be Peacock bass fishing- so that's o.k.

Everything is great - I am still the marketing manager for UA and hosting Limbsaver Outdoors. The travel schedule is tough, but I am blessed to be doing what I am doing for a living.
