Tim CarneyWell done in good spirit. Thanks, Tim

Nevsteroops didnt realise that i shouldnt have posted in the other topic.
I think the cutoff for the number of posts should be prior to when the details of the hunt prize were posted. As Saeed pointed out lots of posting to bump up your number of posts is not acceptable. Therefore the cutoff should be upto the minute the details were posted, that makes it fair on everyone.
Goodluck to everyone whose in the draw, hope it goes to someone deserving of it.

AnotherAZWriterThanks Saeed. I hope I win, but if I don't I hope it is someone who has never been to Africa or a guy like Canuck.
Saeed, what an incredible gift! Speaking as someone who has never been able to make it to Africa, I hope I win! Thanks again for such a great site and a level of generosity rarely experienced.

csutton7simply put--THANK YOU for the opportunity--chris
Saeed,
Not only do you provide the best forum I have ever seen but now we have a chance at a free hunt. It just does not get any better.
Hopefully the winner will also get a chance to meet you.

I think this giveaway is very exciting.
While my name is in the barrel and I hope I am lucky (!), if I am not, I hope the person drawn is someone really deserving. Someone maybe who couldn't otherwise even dream of a 16 day Selous safari.
Imagine the excitement.

A truly wonderful deal, just participating in the draw adds excitement to being a member of AR.

BwanamichSaeed and others,
Thank you indeed for this offer, hopefully I get the chance to "play the client" for once

On slightly different note, see that Topi is mentioned as one of the species and yet the hunt is scheduled for the Selous?

Yep, I'd like to win, maybe the only way I ever get to Tanzania....but wouldn't it be cool to see some person drawn, who works 10 hours a day, 6 days a week, with 2 or 3 kids, who has dreamed of Africa for years but with very little hope of ever going to Africa win. Now that would be cool

phurley5GOSH is sure is nice to know someone like Saeed, a gun nut, a shooting nut, a reloading nut, a hunting nut and last but not least an African nut. And then here comes the dream hunt with Pierre' arranged by Ray, or as they call him in Africa "Babu". I have been there with them, and for those of you who have not, it doesn't get any better. Well perhaps Walter could have been included as camp jester. All here should consider themselves previliged to have this opportunity, I certainly do. MANY THANKS TO SAEED, PIERRE' AND RAY, may the HUNTING GODS smile on you hereafter.

Good shooting.

AtkinsonJust a clarification, Saeed has purchased this hunt through myself and Pierre, but Pierre or myself are only brokers, Saeed is paying the bills, it is his donation, not ours...
Our job now is to perform to his and the winners expectations..

Registered in Feb, but 0 post due to reticent nature. I've been lurking for a while, and I'm learning a lot. Oh well, maybe one day I'll get the chance to visit some place which is only a dream for me.
Good luck to whoever gets to go. Far as I'm concerned this will be way better than winning the lottery.

Okay, I'm in. Only about 3000 posts but they were so insightful, helpful, witty, timeless, and generally valuable, it's more like 3,000,000.

Best regards,

My thanks to everyone who has made this raffle a reality. My special thanks to Saeed for making this resource available to all of us. I do not believe that there is a web site that contains so much valuable information as this one does, and yet offers it for free. We benefit greatly from your generosity.

shakariSaeed, Pierre & Ray have all been very generous indeed with this kind offer......but I find it disappointing that less than one person in every three has had the good manners to post a thank you on this thread......I appreciate that some have said thank you on the other thread but surely not two out of every three.

17 May 2005, 01:04
cable68I will say that it is a great gesture. I only wish I had 100 posts.
