Do any of you gentleman or ladies have experience hunting with Jannie Otto Safaris in the Limpopo district? This will be a first timer to Africa for Kudu, bushbuck?

Thank you,

Jim

Limpopo is a great area which offers a wide variety of game, including dangerous game. But you're going for plains game you might find more economical and equal or better plains game hunting in other parts of the RSA or in Namibia.

One of my best friends bought a hunt with Jannnie Otto at a SCI dinner 3 years ago and did the safari 2 years ago.

He had an excellent hunt and took a bush buck, eland, black wildebeest and eastern cape Kudu, (He hunted several areas in SA.)
I know Jannie is on the board of SCI Africa and is a member of PHASA and has concessions in many areas in SA.

Hey Fairgame, what the hell do you think you're doing? Jim is asking about Jannie Otto Safaris, and you're trying to get him to come hunt with you! I know times are tough, but hey man try keep the ethics good! JMHO!

Enjoy the trip Jim, I'm sure all will turn out well.

Regards

Murray

Murray looks like an enquiry to me? As a first timer to Africa he is probably exploring a number of options. Stonecreek suggests Namibia and I am suggesting my country for those species.

Note he has yet to enter any dialogue with Otto and therefore ethics does not come into it.

This what forums are about.

Don't know about cheaper...we hunted with
www.cruisersafaris.com in July of 2008, and after 2 yrs. of searching, felt like they were our biggest bang for the buck. The hunt was fabulous, and went off without a hitch. Their pkg. rates have only gone up about $100 in the last 2 yrs. I looked at Jannie's website, but he didn't have any prices/rates listed.
