Well, the shows are over, and many of us have booked our African safaris for 2022, or are planning to do so soon.

Some will stay home this year. COVID? Other travel plans?

Hunting somewhere else?

So little time, and so many opportunities.

So, are you going, and if so, where?

Question:
Are you going on an African safari this year, and if so, where?
Or are you not hunting?
Or hunting somewhere else?

Choices:
Not Going This Year
Botswana
Cameroon
Mozambique
Namibia
South Africa
Tanzania
Zambia
Zimbabwe
Other African Country
Hunting Abroad But Not In Africa

Hi Mike,

I like your edited on advice of counsel.

I have a trip purchased for Africa, however the family members who wanted to go have now changed their minds. So It appears that I will give that hunt back to be re sold.

I am going to British Columbia this year.

I am now chatting about going to Namibia for next year. sounds like the grandson wants to make the trip. So I am in the process of putting a trip together now.

I hope to end up in Zimbabwe for some late-season, left-over buffalo.
Other than that, I am looking at a fishing trip to Mallorca

Argentina in March for 4-6 weeks, but mostly for work. I do shoot a few hundred dove a day messing around after asado.

It will be good to get away again.

Iceland in September, husband is doing the Volcano Marathon at Lake Myvatin that he was supposed to do in 2021.

We were in Maui in January where he did the Maui Oceanfront Marathon that got postponed from 2021. Pretty crazy, with a lot of
police officers and volunteers not able to work due to COVID. For a while, we thought it was going to get postponed again as hardly anyone was able to work. But they pulled it off.

Planning on my sixth hunt with Sebra Hunting Safaris in Namibia in July. There’s a trophy Bull Eland with my name on him waiting for me to track him down (I hope). It’s a 75th Birthday Present to myself. I sold a bunch of prized guns to finance the trip.

In a Month, I am taking two folks to WingHaven here in KY for 3 nights of quail, bourbon, and steaks.

Maybe out Wyoming way again, maybe.

I have been invited up to Michigan and Minnesota to hunt grouse, but do not think I will get away from work.

Talked briefly with them at SCI. Was told that construction is underway, but they were a little thin on details. FWIW.

Therein lies the problem. I love the resort but I wouldn’t want to be in a construction zone.

Would like feedback on the return from winghaven. Have you hunted it before? Wish you and the others good trips.

I have not been there before. I wanted to take my Father in Law to South Dakota, but healthy in our family e we I’ll not allow it. So, this was the last minute back up plan.

I will try to do a hunt report. I am behind on them as I have been hunting every weekend since before Thanksgiving. If not, I will contact you pm and give a run down.

. The first condo is under construction but you don't know it from the lodge, no noise you can't see it. I think they said should be finished next March. We are having a great time, fishing is good.

Need to cull another a dozen or so Fallow off my hunting block here in NZ before going to the UK to clean up some Muntjac and Roebucks from our woods there. Was supposed to be going to Uganda for Sitatunga and buffalo, a hunt paid for in full two years ago just before Covid. Now postponed for another year due to lack of quota. Booked a package hunt in Namibia for June instead with Shona Safaris.
