As of March 28th Thys DeVries' company Lodzi Hunters has been awarded the Tsholotsho South Concession Hunting Tender bordering the Hwange National Park.

Many of you have heard of the incredible elephant bulls taken in this block over the last dozen or so years. This is somewhat of a homecoming for Thys as he was the primary hunter taking several outstanding trophy elephant when the Andrews family had the concession.

Please note this is not a marketing agreement or a subleasing venture- Thys' company was awarded the rights to the Tsholotsho South Concession directly from the Tsholotsho Rural District Council for years 2013 to 2018.

This is arguably the best elephant concession in Zimbabwe, and Thys and his team have more experience in the concession than anyone else. He has helped his clients take several huge bulls over the years- most notably the 103 pounder from a couple years back, not to mention several bulls in the 60 to 90 pound range.

Matapula Hunters?

Thys is hunting Tsholotsho South, and Matapula Hunters has Tsholotsho North.

Gariya Safaris (the Andrews family) previously had the rights to Tsholotsho South. They worked with several well-respected professional hunters to market and conduct their hunts in the past (Martin Pieters, Gary Hopkins, Martin Naude, Thys & Pen DeVries and some others I apologize for missing).
