I have a request… I used to be an SCI member but I let my membership expire so I don’t get the magazine etc anymore. The PH I hunted with asked me to scan and send him an article from a few months back. Would one of you current members be kind enough to do it for me (us)? The article was about Tsholotsho (Zimbabwe) elephant hunt with Bob Dyer and Pen DeVries. Thanks, Lewis Ankeny snl_ankeny@hotmail.com Make the first one count!

Crosshairs, do you have any idea what issue it was in? I have them all from about 1990,to date, but it might take a little looking to find the right copy, if I have to thumb through them all! ....Mac >>>===(x)===> MacD37, ...and DUGABOY1 DRSS Charter member "If I die today, I've had a life well spent, for I've been to see the Elephant, and smelled the smoke of Africa!"~ME 1982 Hands of Old Elmer Keith

Thanks for the response Mac. No I do not know the specific issue but he said it was probably between 3 and 6 months ago so it's a fairly recent issue. Thanks pal. I appreciate it. Cross Make the first one count!

It is July/August 2005 issue, pages 72, 73 and 100. Pen de Vries now lives in Adelaide, South Australia but still hunts in Tanzania and maybe elsewhere.

Yeah... Pen just returned to Aus after a trip to Tanzania and then to Zimbabwe to visit his family. He used to hunt in Zim before his farm was seized etc, etc, etc. I believe he's working on something new in Tanzania. I hope so... he's a heck of a hunter and a super nice guy.
