Leaving on Monday for Zim

KathiLeaving on Monday for Zim
On Monday, we will be on our way to the Chirisa Safari Area in Zim, with HHK Safaris and PH Terry Fenn. I am really excited as this will be my first dangerous game (buffalo) hunt. My husband will be looking for bull elephant.
Our good friend Buddy will be going with us for sable/waterbuck. Buddy retired as the ASAC with DEA and has had a bad run of luck with returning to Africa. Buddy went with us in 1996 and always wanted to return. He was scheduled to go with us in 2003 and a month before we were to leave he blew out his back and could not go. He rescheduled to go with us in 2005 and suffered a heart attack that required surgery. Now he is ready to go and I pray he has the hunt of his life.
I obtained a bgan/inmarsat that hopefully will allow me to receive and send e-mails from Chirisa. I will keep you posted on any significant events from out there.
Wish me luck,I think I am going to need it.
Any last minute advice?

As for last minute advice, since you're after buff and elephant, here's mine:
Take bigger rifles than the ones you packed!

Kathi,
Have a great hunt. Terry Fenn is a very nice fellow and loves to hunt elephants. Please tell him I said hello - if he doesn't recall who the heck I am remind him I met him in Omay with Buzz. I think he liked my rifle better than me though!

We're going to be "gifted" with a health care plan we are forced to purchase and fined if we don't, Which purportedly covers at least ten million more people, without adding a single new doctor, but provides for 16,000 new IRS agents, written by a committee whose chairman says he doesn't understand it, passed by a Congress that didn't read it but exempted themselves from it, and signed by a President, with funding administered by a treasury chief who didn't pay his taxes, for which we'll be taxed for four years before any benefits take effect, by a government which has already bankrupted Social Security and Medicare, all to be overseen by a surgeon general who is obese, and financed by a country that's broke!!!!! Have a great trip & thanks for all your help. Try not to worry about everything back at home. Good luck on your buffalo and your husbands elephant.
Hey Guys, You already know how we feel about your hunt. We have had the pleasure of hunting with Rick & Kathi Klimes on our last two trips to Zimbabwe in 2003 and 2005. They are great friends and we are sorry that we were unable to accompany them on this trip. They know our hearts are with them. Good luck and we anxiously await any news of Kathi's big buff or Rick's tusker on the ground. Good Luck!
