Kathi,

Author Nigel Pavitt is someone I met while living in Kenya in the mid 90s. Lives in Karen near Nairobi. He's ex-King's African Rifles, and author of some very fine illustrated books, including one on the Turkana. Uses a medium format film camera and had not switched to digital when I last saw him in 2004.

I bought the book from the Borders book store today. This is a must have for anyone who loves "old Africa". The photos are phenominal.
