I used Reisers Taxidermy, just based on someone else's recommendation. I am expecting my European mounts later this month. Supposedly they check and get the best shipper. You don't have to worry about that. Helgaard is familiar with them.

We looked at Reiser's work this past May. Felt his work was not great and prices were high. Had our trophies shipped to the states and the taxidermy work done here.

Who is the best taxidermist to use in Windhoek for dipping and european skull mounts. Can anybody recommend a freight company they have used.

If you hunt in the north of Namibia, I would use Marlon Beyer Taxidermy Studio in Otjiwarongo. ( Tel: 00264-67-302763) He is the best taxidermist Namibia has got. Very reliable and quick, excellent service and very good craftsmanship. His prices are average to low and he also uses Harald Preschel for his shipments. Harald Preschel is specialised in trophy-shipments and knows his business very well.

For taxidermy work in Windhoek I would either suggest Gorn Taxidermy, situated between Windhoek ant the international airport or the already mentioned Mr. Reiser. Reiser and Preschel also work very close together and the work Reiser does is quite good. There have been a few complaints regarding Reiser a few years ago, but as far as I know he has straitened out his business and everything has been going on well since then.
