CMS EXPANDS

I am pleased to announce that CMS has bought the exclusive hunting and managing rights from Swainson/Rauke Safaris in the Dande North. This is effective immediately and extends to the end of the lease, which is in 6 years time!

BACK GROUND

For the last 3 years CMS have operated the Dande Safari Area, which is located in the central part of Dande North, and Ward 11, which is situated in the extreme South of the Dande North. Between these two areas was Swainsons/ Rauke who were operating in Ward 1 and Ward 2. This created a very disjointed area with numerous boundaries to deal with which was frustrating when hunting.

THE FUTURE

By buying exclusive rights to hunt and manage Swainson’s two areas (ward 1 and 2) CMS has reunited the whole of the Dande North. In a nut shell it means that when you book a hunt with CMS in the Dande North you will be able to hunt from the Angwa River to the Zambezi River! To put this in perspective this is the same size, if not bigger, then either of the Chewore safari areas.

So, as of next season we will operate out of the following camps:
Pedza being the main camp,
Mururu in the central part of the DSA,
Mukanga camp (formerly Swainsons) in the South of the area
and Matombo camp ( formerly Swainsons) in the North on the Zambezi River.

For the few hunts that have already been booked by Gav Rauke CMS will honor those hunts and prices and Gav will be the PH.

CMS will have two auction hunts available at the shows. These hunts will be conducted in the whole Dande North area. They are a 7 day tuskless and a 14 day Buffalo Tuskless hunt.

Finally I would like to say a big thank you to all our valued clients and friends that have hunted with us in the past and more specifically to those of you who have made the above possible! Your faith and trust in us is hugely appreciated! Have a happy Xmas and look forward to seeing you all at the shows!

Cheers Buzz and Myles

Excellent. Will you be able to offer fishing on the Zambezi for clients who might finish up their hunts early?

I had lunch in Mukanga a few years ago. that is one of the most awesome camps I've ever been in. I'd like to book a hunt out of there at some point for sure.

Buzzard - I have hunted out of Mukanga and Matombo, and they are both excellent camps. I would love to hunt out of either one again in the future. So, now that you have this new area, what is Gavin Rorke doing?

Yes, they would.

I have also heard they are introducing a new fishing safari.

Any drunk client will be dragged behind the boat in the mighty Zambezi river for one hour at night.

If he manages to catch a crocodile, he will get a free tuskless hunt free of charge rotflmo

WEll done Buzz, and good luck on your new venture.

Congrats Buzz, Miles, et al.

I'll miss you men at the shows, but I will be sending my wife and her attractive friend to DSC to poach a video or two.

Sell them a hunt if they've not blown all their money on jewelry and clothes.

Buzz has historically arranged very good fishing out of Dande. This beast was 16.5 pounds and probably a bit smaller than one that snapped my line the day before.

Hi Folks

Thanks for all the kind comments!Below are a few answer to questions and statements.

GunCore- yes we have a nice camp on the Zambezi so will be offering tiger fishing etc

Jorge- yes we have Mururu. Infact we have just finished rethatching it and giving it a face lift and its looking beautiful. Still my most favorite camp!

Mandlazim- yes its great to have the whole of the Dande North again. Infact it is even bigger as we can hunt the whole of the Dande East which has come along in leaps and bounds. The sable are excellent there now!

Bob- thats "BS" you would probably be able to out walk me!

Surestrike- I chose the mukanaga camp site many years ago and Gav has done alot to it as he was using it as his main camp- It really is a beautiful camp and nicely situated!

Use Enough Gun- to combine all the Dandes would make with out doubt the biggest concession in the country by a long shot- nice dream but I am already struggling with lack of sleep worrying about our present debt and how we will get that re-payed asap!

Subsailor- Gav will still be hunting and will take a very limited quota from us if he likes. He also has some businesses here in Harare which keeps him busy but he is by no means totally out that hunting game.

Safari-lawyer- dont worry there I will good care of the two ladies- infact I have a spare evening for a dinner date!!!!! Good luck in your hunt Will!

Bill C- It is amazing to think that 20 years ago I was working there as an appy! I have seen 3 different operators through the area, seen it get divided into 4 areas and have now seen in reunited under our banner!

Miketaylor- we are very much looking forward to been able to give you guys and many others a fantastic safari through out the whole of Dande North

Thanks folks! Cheers Buzz

Hi Guys

Thanks for the comments. Indy, Gav ran a great show indeed however he was in exactly the same situation as us.

The truth of the matter is this, our operations were about the same size and simply put we either needed to get bigger or totally down scale to survive.(PSE NOTE I DO NOT INTEND FOR THIS TO BECOME A DISCUSSION LIKE THE PH SALARY DEBATE!)

Believe it or not margins are very small for operators with increased costs etc. Gav also has a engineering business in Harare which is run by his mum who is getting on a little. As mentioned before Gav is by no means out of hunting!

John and Laura- we are so looking forward to having you guys back with us and as we have seen when we have a pretty lady shoot a big ele it helps our marketing so we will be pushing Laura! Milo will have to get exercising to be able to keep up with Laura also!!!! Cheers for now Buzz
