My brother, father and I are now planning our next safari to africa in 2005. So we spend a lot of time going through a lots of material from different agents. I have just found what looks to be a good deal on a plains game hunt in Zimbabwe.

The farm is called Portwe Estate, and the owner is Dave Joubert. The farm is located 1,5 hours drive form the city Bulawayo.

That is all I know by now. Anybody who knows about this place?

Hi Andr

Thanks, but the deal I found was at Diana (their agent), so I would like to hear if anybody knows about them, or have hunted with them.

Best regards
Erik

Diana is a good firm, a guy I know used to work for them and they are very efficient and, to my knowledge, trustworthy. The only negative thing I have to say baout them is that they are a bit high in price.

You may want to reconsider any estate hunting in Zimbabwe in the future. Estate is another name for farm. I know the two estates I hunted in Zimbabwe in the 90's have been overrun by the "war veterans".

This link will take you to the latest news. Buyer beware!
