Superb buffalo Gerry! Where was he taken? Or is that a secret until you head back to try for his buddy?
On the plains of hesitation lie the bleached bones of ten thousand, who on the dawn of victory lay down their weary heads resting, and there resting, died.

That's what I like. Huge bosses and horn length bedamned. The one-that-almost-got-me looked like that but his horns were more broomed. Great animal, good shooting.

I shot him with a manton 470 double. 1st shot in the shoulder with a woodleigh soft second barrel a trophy bonded sledgehammer in the keister and found bullet under his chin. both shots were fatal. Distance first shot maybe 20 yards 2nd maybe 28 yds.
As I implied before, that is a magnificent beast....I am sure you waited for your PH to judge and call the shot.....me neither if ever given the opportunity on one like that!!! I may have killed only a few and may need the PH to judge sweep, curl and bosses before I shoot but not on that ol boy! Again, WELL DONE !!
