I have a very nice Schmidt and Bender scope that came with the rail mounted on the bottom of the scope tube. This is where the claw mounts would normally be. My question; is there any way to mount this scope on Weaver style bases? Is the rail easily removed and normal scope rings attached? Is there an "adapter" that mounts to the rail and then to Weaver style bases. Its a very beatiful scope and I'd like to put it to good use. Thanks for your help, BigBullet

High quality mounts, such as EAW, will come with adapters for rail scopes. You will find them many times more stable than rings. No possibility of slipping. NECG imports EAW into the US.

Kurt is right. Forget the idea of Weaver anythings and spend the money to make yur scope work. If not sell it, and use the money to buy another one.
