It's interesting to see the cape buff in several camps. In all of my travelling stateside, I try to check out local zoos wherever I go. I have only seen cape buff in one zoo out of probably fifty and that includes some of the largest zoos in the country. I have always wondered about that. _______________________________

Yukon, I was sitting on top of a much bigger elephant. I will have to look around for more photos. ~Ann

Husky: Who ever said Frank was tame? Personally I´d never keep a Dane as a pet -they drink awful amounts of beer and cannot be taught to speak in an intelligent manner

It's almost imposible to get a permit to import Bovine, or swine, from Africa, into the USA. The deseases they often carry would be devastating to the beaf, and pork industry! ....Mac >>>===(x)===> MacD37, ...and DUGABOY1 DRSS Charter member "If I die today, I've had a life well spent, for I've been to see the Elephant, and smelled the smoke of Africa!"~ME 1982 Hands of Old Elmer Keith

Wolfgar Sorry, I missed your post asking what a leopard is like around the house. I was not around when Anne raised her leopard, but will talk to her about it soon and let you know what she says. I know it was a female and generally quite relaxed. I shall also post you some pictures as soon as possible. Dave

True, but you see lots of warthogs in zoos. Just found it curious that you don't see cape buff much. Saeed, I notice you didn't post a photo of your crocs licking you??? You can do anything once they say. _______________________________

If you want to see cape buffalo, the best place is the San Diego wildlife animal park (not the zoo). There is a small herd there that 'free ranges' in one area of the park, if you can call it that.

I've been to that zoo but not the park. I'll have to check it out next time. Thanks. _______________________________
