Is there anyone around the Kimberley area? If so, would you drop me a PM? Looking for an insight.

Thanks,
Alex

I'd try Lieb DuRaan at ingwesafari@lantic.net He is a PH in that area. He lives in Douglas, 60 KM from Kimberley.

I hunted four times (the first time was in 1983, the last time was in 2002) with Sandy Cox and his son on various farms and the Rooipoort Estate all around Kimberley, and can't speak highly enough about them.

Their operation still is called Secretarius Safaris, but I've lost my contact information. You might look them up through PHASA.

I second Wintershoek, I've never hunted with them, but know the Johnny V is highly respected and my good friend has hunted with him multiple times. If I was in the area, I would do it without hesitation.

I do not know who has Rooipoort Estate now, but it is a fabulous place to hunt. Lots of interesting places to visit there also. Matabula Safaris, John Abraham, had it when I hunted there last.

Last I heard, Conraad Vermak had the Rooipoort Concession. It was a great place when I hunted there in 1983 and 1985 as a guest of DeBeers/Anglo American, and that was before they reintroduced sable antelope and buffalo.

I've not hunted with Conraad, but I know him and have visited him at his home in Hilton. He's a great guy and his company has a great reputation.

Hey guys,

I am actually not looking to hunt there, but there is a gentleman selling two dogs there I am interested in. If someone was local I was hoping to pay them for their time and have them take a look at them for me.
