Man survives leopard attack Midlands Reporter A LALAPANZI man is lucky to be alive after he was attacked by a leopard on Sunday while looking for stray cattle. The police spokesman for Midlands, Inspector Patrick Chademana said Jasphet Hwinya (35) was attacked by a leopard in a bushy area at Rockvale Resettlement near Chikutubwe Primary School at around 3pm. He said Hwinya was in the company of two other men when the incident occurred. They had three dogs with them. “They saw a leopard on a tree and its cubs were in a nearby cave. When the leopard saw the men it jumped from the tree and attacked Hwinya,†Insp Chademana said. He said the leopard mauled flesh from his face, hands and neck before it ran away after it was hit with logs by one of Hwinya’s companions. He said Hwinya was rushed to Gweru Provincial Hospital where his condition is reported to be satisfactory. Insp Chademana warned members of the public not to tease dangerous animals to avoid being attacked. Why is it that everytime something tragic happens there's always some dogs involved?

By the way, I think there is a moral to this story. BIG CATS ARE DANGEROUS, BUT A LITTLE PUSSY(CAT) NEVER HURT ANYBODY.
