Good question. Usually we get all kinds of posts from people going on the donated hunts.

You must be getting a little excited.

No long now, the excitement must be building.

Seeing you upgraded the safari to a 21 day hunt from a buffalo licence, elephant and lion must be high on your list.

What rifles are you planning to take - one for plains game and a heavy rifle, or two heavies, one suitable for plains game?

Do I remember rightly you have a double or are borrowing one? If so, fantastic.

If you don't mind me asking, how much extra do you have to pay for the Lion and Elephant? Do you have to pay the higher daily rates or just the trophy fees?

You have to take a Double for the Ele and the Buffalo.

Knowing I was going to the Selous for 16 days, I had to up it to 21 days and make it a full bag safari...
My concentration is going to be the cats...The ele will be an oportunity animal...
The rifles will be A Champlin Famars 450#2 NE
and a Mod. 70 375H&H safari grade rifle the scopes will be Leupolds the DG scope is a 1.5/6 LPS 30mm tube and the other is 3.5/ 10 50mm 30mm tube german 4 illuminated dot...

The 450 was given to me by a friend for the trip...When I told him what I won and told him the only thing missing on the trip is a double rifle.. I then asked him: Bill, will you rent me your 450 Nitro...He answers me, "NO, I dont rent my rifles but you can have it and if you shoot it well and then, take it to Africa..It deserves to go back..." My payment to him is return the rifle clean.. Replace ammo he gave me.. Don't worry if you scratch it...It is a hunting rifle... Final condition, I want an 8/10 inch Glossy with my rifle and a Buf..
