243 for D/G in Africa {Legality

This is entirely a joke.. lol

is it legal to use a 243 winchester with matchkings in a levergun? (the 107 gr CAN be loaded to 4200+ ft-lbs... but see barrel requirements to get there!!)

how about barnes X

what if it was loaded with barnes 115 gr to 4056 fps with a 144" barrel, for 4201 ft-lbs..

at an estimated 31#, it would have a recoil of less than 5#!!!!!

Wow, think this is the next punt gun? You might need 2 gun bearers to just help you aim!!!

Yes it is legal and it also the correct platform for DG in the thick stuff at any and all ranges.

I for one don't find your post to be funny or humorus in any way shape or form.

The .243 is serious round and should be taken seriously by all.

Personally I prefer a .218 Bee in a Winchester Model 62 lever action rifle. Why would you need something as large as a .243 bullet?

I load a 650 gr .243 cal bullet to 2400 fps in my rem 700.......it has a good sd profile and should penetrate well.....It's a solid to.

Maybe we should rather try a 22 long standard velocity, the recoil off the centre fires are a bit stiff even when the Hornet is downloaded
