Hardly finished typing the above when i found the answer on "page 3"! No permits required if one is in transit. Correct?

I had no problem traveling through Johannesburg twice a little over a week ago. I did have Optima make sure that the guns got off/on the connecting flight. I needed no permit, but had an application, just in case.
