HonkeyStupid Elephant Question
I have hunted Africa only twice. As an aspiring Elephant hunter (yes that is my dream hunt)
I have a dumb question....
If I go to say Zim for an Elephant hunt and I have all my CITES BS in order.
WHY can't I take the tusks home on the plane as checked baggage???????????????
It seems it would be easier than going through all the red tape people hear about.
I am sure there is a good reason, I just dont know what it is.
THANKS

Wendell ReichHey Honkey,
You answered your own question.
"Red Tape"
There is plenty of it and no way around it.

JohnHuntIt does raise the question of why not bring them back on your next hunt. Have the outfit store them until you return the next year.

HonkeyNow THAT would be a DAMM GOOD IDEA !!
