In spite of its long and successful history, I understand that the 9.3x62 is not permitted for dangerous game in some locals. Is this true? And if so, what countries do not allow its use?

That is true, some countries require 9.5 mm... so .375 would do, not 9.3xanything.

I really don't know which country has what requirement...

I would bet you could get around the 375 H&H minimum and use the 9.3. Many of this forum think a bow, black powder rifle, lever gun and hand canon are perfectly fine for dangerous game. I am not sure where those are legal. stir

Regarding your comment re the Northern Cape, I am assuming that it is still kosher to use for plains game, but not Dangerous Game. Is that correct?
