Came across this today on the local newswire, if it be true then it is going to do a lot of damage to the image etc of a lot of people, see below; South African National Parks (SANParks) is investigating allegations that a top official at the Kruger National Park recently went on a shooting frenzy with a shotgun from a helicopter. It sounds to me like there will be another vastly different side to this story. I'm not defending anyone because I don't know what happened. However, judging from some of the statements made in the article it would appear there is an definate slant to the story. There's more evidence that this was an inefficient culling operation than evidence that this was a game ranger gone berserk in a park, treating it as his own private hunting ground. The rhino incident at the end has nothing to do with the Kruger Park incident. Linking them shows poor journalistic judgement. It also shows what's wrong with some game farm hunts. | |||
