Those of you who hunt in Courtney`s,which socks do you wear them with? I have a couple of pairs of Rohn hunter socks and I am not sure if they will be cool enough in.Has anyone hunted in Courtney's in March in Zim?

Any socks are fine. Thick or thin. They don't have to be expensive, just ordinary socks from your local supermarket will be fine. I usually use the thin socks because of the heat here.

Believe it or not, I wear wool. All year. Wigwam makes a durable, soft and comfortable sock that is carried by Costco, at least in this neck of the woods. This works for me.

I do the same Brice. Medium thickness wool hiking socks. Wool is the best against sweat even though it sounds strange. I hunted eastern cape in november, warmest day 38 C in the shade. My feet had no problems

Cabelas makes some very nice boot socks. They come in, as I remember, light, medium and heavy. I've found the heavy version most comfortable even in the summer. Best of all, they even have ones that fit size 15 feet.
These are the Rohner socks with which I have been wearing mine lately-mine are in dark green however. Rohner Hunting Socks I also ordered a quality pair of cotton socks to see what they are like. I am really pleased with my boots. They cost really expensive but are comfortable enough to wear at work all day and then go on a walk out in the town.

I have a few pairs of those socks that I had bought from REI, I do like them.
Courtney's are pretty inexpensive actually compared to other boots. I paid $180 for my pair from the Courtney shop at Bulawayo last time I was there.

I bought them from a dealer in the US.I heard that if you buy them in Zim they cost less.I nearly did not get mine as the UPS driver delivered them to the wrong address-a few blocks away.I was lucky the person who got them brought them to me.UPS denied they were delivered to the wrong address until I let them know that I used my commercial address and therefore a signature was required. I bought some pure beeswax too and rubbed some on for waterproofing.

Another vote for wool. Wool wicks moisture away really well which keeps your feet from getting blisters. I wore them hunting in Africa, Montana, Texas, I wear them running, and even when wearing a suit (Smartwool makes some nice dress sock versions).
