Hi All

I want to thank all of you for the info on hunting in Africa.

I'm leaving on my first hunting trip to Namibia for plains game in June. I started planning this trip in 1998. But had to cancelled due to crushed vertebrae.

My rifles are Rem 300 Wby Mag and a CZ 550 375 H&H Mag.

Thanks for all your help

Good choices on the guns. We'll need to know what your hunt was like and with whom when you get back.

I also am going on my 1st African hunt in June. The wife and I will be going to S.A., East Cape. Just counting the days and stareing at the wall day dreaming. Hope you have a great hunt and am looking forward to the pictures and report.

Namibia's great, but there are two things to beware of: Jagermeister liqeur, and liver with belly fat. They will ply you with the first, and stuff you with the second. The liver-and-belly fat thing is an hors d'oeuvre done on the brai. I managed to eat one, just to be sociable. They make cardiologists dream of mega yachts.

If you are a real coffee hound, take your own. I carry a little single cup cone filter holder.

I'm envious. You can go to Africa many times, and likely will, but you can only go there the FIRST TIME once.
