"When A Crocodile Eats the Sun" by Peter Godwin. A true account of a white family living in Rhodesia/Zimbabwe and the destruction of that once wonderful country. Excellent writing.

I had a discussion last month in South Africa with a South African woman who had been reading that particular book on Zimbabwe/Rhodesia and she said that it was quite disturbing. Of course, the truth often is.

Two other books about the agony of Zimbabwe are "African Tears" and "Beyond Tears" by Catherine Buckles. The books chronicle the loss of their farm, as well as the suffering of their friends. They still live in Marondera. Both books are moving and disturbing.

It would be quite interesting if the U.N., the P.C. police, the Leftist Press, the blonde folks from the north, etc., finally looked at the history of the migrations in and into Africa. Probably, only the Bushmen should have a claim to anything south from Angola and East to Mombasa... most of the original inhabitants got snuffed by conquest or conquested somebody... and color shouldn't qualify or unqualify any-damn-body.... or let's cull the Jutes, the Sioux and the Bantu.... wherever they live or lived and whomever the hell's ass they kicked or got kicked by. Dad-gum Abram.... or Abraham. And damn Michael Vick, too. I have some tickets to the Falcon games this year... and they're going to be boring! JudgeG ... just counting time 'til I am again finding balm in Gilead chilled out somewhere in the Selous.
