Was it just a dip and pack or a finished product?

Was it hung up because it was an ellie or just becuase all shippments are getting hung up? I just paid the final on my taxidermy in Bulawayo and they said it should be out within 8 weeks, is there any hope of that?

What freight company and importer are you using?

I don't have taxidermy hung up at T.E. but we have three giraffe's and four zebra's and from their email today, they are all ruined!!!!! They were from a hunt last yeay July and were left for tanning. I should know more tomorrow but it sounds like they weren't dipped and the beetles ate them up or they were stored outside at the mercy of the weather. What worries me most, if they didn't dip the flat skins that means all of our capes are probably in no better shape.
Any advice from you guys?

I don't know what's up with Taxidermy Enterprises. It took over a year and a half just to get my trophies back this month (dip/pack except for a few curios). During the period, I was quoted several ship dates, all missed. I do understand that Roy Ludick took over late last year and I was optimistic that things would get straightened out, but by the early spring I was informed that he was no longer associated with them.

Never again ! I will insist that either the outfitter do his own dip/pack/permits or use a different processor.

Yep, seems like mine were the same thing...pay your money (and man, don't they get in a hurry for it!), then you wait some more.

BTW, realize that your stuff won't be shipped from Zim ... they get it to RSA and ship it from there. Oh, and that takes a while, too. Then you'll just get another email address to add to your collection.
