Very enjoyable read... noted most of the kings were in Cameroon and western Africa.

On the plains of hesitation lie the bleached bones of ten thousand, who on the dawn of victory lay down their weary heads resting, and there resting, died.

If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with Kings - nor lose the common touch...
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And - which is more - you'll be a Man, my son!
- Rudyard Kipling

We still have a Zulu king here, and he tries to milk the taxpayer for as much as he can get and the ANC gov panders to him to keep him quiet.

And the EFF who as the video shows, have already got a foot in the door, will be a whole lot worse when they come to power as I fear they surely will. Frowner

the only regret i have about my hunt in northern Cameroun with Cam's crew( other than Air France losing my luggage) is that the king was not in residence at the time( off in Europe on a visit). we did not get to have an audience with him. we did get to catch a poacher who turned out to be the king's local driver and turn him over to the king's counsellors. i later heard the king was not too happy about that and God knows what happened to the poacher. local laws would net him 4 years in prison and i think the king meted out some further "punishment"....for sure, Cam's crew dished out a bit of local retribution on the spot.
