My elephant trophy is on the way & final weight!
After over a year I finally got news that my shipment is on the way. I also got the weight of my ivory at long last. [Because this might light look like faint praise for Vaughn Fulton and Classic Safaris, the delays were not occasioned in any way be Vaughn.) The old bull below had 39kilos of ivory left. For you English measurement guys, that is 85.8 pounds. I am satisfied in the extreme.

The first picture above is right after the adrenalin rush of celebrating that we had succeeded and were all OK. It suddenly hits you. The second was taken the next day just before the "natives" got to taking their protein. What an experience. Thanks again, Vaughn. You guys going to Namibia can't do better in my opinion. Kudude

"Peace is that brief glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading" - Thomas Jefferson

Every morning the Zebra wakes up knowing it must outrun the fastest Lion if it wants to stay alive. Every morning the Lion wakes up knowing it must outrun the slowest Zebra or it will starve. It makes no difference if you are a Zebra or a Lion; when the Sun comes up in Africa, you must wake up running......

"If you're being chased by a Lion, you don't have to be faster than the Lion, you just have to be faster than the person next to you."

What dreams are made of and posts like yours are the reason I also picked Vaughn Fulton for my elephant hunt. I can only dream of being as successful as you were. What a magnificient old bull.

Well done! Those tusks look massively thick. I will be hunting with Vaughan for trophy elephant October 2009.

You can borrow money, but you can't borrow time. Go now.
