Not all of the trip was bad (if you've read 1115's posts). He had a great time, of course, and the RSA portion of the safari was about perfect for the both of us.

One of the great parts of the trip was getting to hunt with my .375 Express. Range, of course, was limited to much less than that with a scoped rifle, but it sure was fun to try to get close enough for my tired ol' eyes... but I got a zebra, an impala, a black wildebeest (female)... I told you that my eyes were bad), a warthog and a hartebeest.

Here's the ol' dude and his impala and his double rifle:

Yes, they will add another deminsion to your hunting fun and to your skills as a hunter, I supppose that is the call to the archer and the muzzle loader hunter and the archery you have perfected judging by that last running shot on a whitetail that resulted in a clean kill..and now the double rifle has duplicated the same results.....

I'm with you I love to hunt with iron sighted bolt guns and iron sighted double rifles...but you knew that. the scope is my secondary sighting apparatis, just the opposite of most, I suppose because I afraid not to have the scope handy just in case!
