For AR I don't know.
Go to African Hunting .com and you can drag or click on photos from your screen to the post. Super easy. I don't know why that can't be done here.

I use Tinypic.com You just need to resize them before you up load them. They will let you upload them without an account but pictures go away after a while. Create an account and they last forever. Resize, upload, copy and paste!

Just like lots of other sites, they ( photo bucket) get more protective as time goes on and money involved
Agree, I'd love to have it simpler as I also got tired of photobucket

I use hunt 101 but lately the photos have uploaded into a very big picture. Numerous emails to them asking to solve the issue have gone unanswered.

Thanks Charl, loading pictures at AR is a real nightmare. I'm a member at a German hunting forum, there just copy and paste, every other method is nonsense.

Photobucket is easy.

1. Click on the image you want to post.
2. Look for the below and click the image URL that the red arrow is pointing to. When you click it, it will flash "Copied" in the box.

3. Reply or create a post on AR or any forum. Where you want the image, just right click and hit paste or "ctrl + v" to paste the image url.
4. Done

Photobucket is a pain. I sell stuff on other sites and it is easy to send photos directly from my cell phone to the other site.

One reason AR should consider making it easier is that I believe more hunt reports would be sent. It is very time consuming to put together a report with a bunch of photos.

It looks like you own www.infinito-safaris.com. That means you should have space to host pics on your own site using FTP. I use the FireFTP add-in for Firefox and it couldn't be easier. Drag and drop and paste the link.

If you own the domain but host via wordpress, spend the 80$ a year and host your site yourself. Easy peasy.

That is what I do and it is very easy - I had to upgrade my hosting package though as when you start posting lots of images online it will burn through your limits.

Using FTP to load to your own hosting may take a minute or two more to do but your online data is much more secure and available - well as secure as your hosting company is.

I run Firefox browser and there is a free FTP add-on which is dead easy to use...

It would be great if Saeed could setup an AR hosting site for members here to use for their hunting images.

I don't think photobucket is hard to use at all, but with all the ads and video streaming they are using, uploading pics is slow as heck and you can get mouse clicks that are missed at times.

So while it is easy to use, it has become increasingly inconvenient to use.

I'm not overly savvy on this part of computer use but isn't the reason for using a photo hosting site is that this saves using storage on the forum site?

Problem with using a host site such as Photobucket is that if you delete a photo from PB it is then not available in your forum post?

I assume photos dragged and dropped or uploaded directly to a forum such as AR will then stay on the forum site even if deleted from the originator computer but then this will use a lot of storage on AR?

It just costs the host money - not ridiculous amounts. It isnt the hosting itself that burns through resources, it is the number of times the image is downloaded by other users (to view). So historical images dont cost much to host as after a while they arent being downloaded very often.

The problem with services like Photobucket is that ANYTHING can happen to your hosted images. Photobuck could go offline (has happened before) or close down, they could suddenly chooose not to host nasty hunting images or a heap of other changes that could be made to the service.

I dont know but judging by the speed of this forum - AR probably already has its own dedicated server that could handle member image hosting. Perhaps with a slight upgrade??

Hosting isn't the chimera people think it is. It's simply you own a certain amount of storage space with your domain (www.whatever.com) that you can upload your pics to. Then, when you post a pic, the address will be www.whatever.com/Impala.jpg. It's easy as hell. And absolutely free of the bullshit of hosted sites. Thousand of millennials have made an ass-load of money convincing people it's difficult so that they can manage it and make a mint. Ridiculous.

No offense man, but did you read the posts? Once you own a space to upload your pics, you simply upload them, then use that URL path when you want to show a pic. There IS no easier way to do it. To hell with Photobucket et. al. And if you run a business, write that yearly cost off your taxes. I'm happy to explain to people offline, just PM me your number. Once you realize how damn easy it it is, you'll wonder why you farted around with "free" sites.

I just got an invoice from GoDaddy (the guy who owns goDaddy hunts elephant, by the way) and it was 83$. 83/12 = $6.91 per month. pretty goddamn cheap in my book.

lavaca: area code; zip code; address; exchange; party line.... all similar concepts from 4 decades ago. its easy stuff...

AR is HOSTED on a location (as determined by a public IP address) on the Internet. It's name is www.accuratereloading.com. That is also its URL. Forget about all the nerdy mumbo-jumbo. Saeed has someone build a site with forums etc, and copies it to the location known as www.accuratreloading.com. When you type in www.accuratereloading.com from your browser, it goes and finds the first page that Saeed's site builder built (index.html, but forget that). If Saeed adds a picture to the same place (he hosts it on the same location), the address is www.accuratereloading.com/Saeed.jpg.

No shit. If you want to do it yourself, PM me your number, I'll explain it to you.

And 'drag and drop' means that instead of manually loading your image (VIA 'FTP') to the storage domain (eg. accuratereloading.com) - the AR member simply clicks on a photo on their device and 'drops' it into their forum post and the advance software uploads it and connects the post to the image link automatically.
