This set of horns was picked up mid season in West Petauke GMA across the river from us in the Luangwa.

The resident hunter here is Derick Van Staden and the chap who is holding the massive set of horns is Quinn from S&E South Africa.

They have not been properly measured but heard they go 21" plus.

This is the second set of horns that I have seen from this valley that are over 21".

Best I took this year was 18" from Munyamadzi.

Fairgame, you probably need to upgrade to pro status on photobucket.

There are nice Bushbuck on the Luangwa. I killed this one just up river from you in 2009.

Rhyme of the Sheep Hunter
May fordings never be too deep, And alders not too thick; May rock slides never be too steep And ridges not too slick.
And may your bullets shoot as swell As Fred Bear's arrow's flew; And may your nose work just as well As Jack O'Connor's too.
May winds be never at your tail When stalking down the steep; May bears be never on your trail When packing out your sheep.
May the hundred pounds upon you Not make you break or trip; And may the plane in which you flew Await you at the strip.

Andrew the chap holding the horns is Murray Hibbs, done most of his hunting in Botswana and apprenticed under Jeff Rann a good number of years ago. Dericks camp manager from a few years back a chap called Hayden Glenny also picked up a set of horns from WP that went over 20"

Thanks for that. We used to have one in camp (other side of the river) that was 21 inch and I will try and sort out a photograph.
