That story was from back in August. I haven't heard anything about borders closing. That case in Texas is a guy who flew here from Liberia just a few days ago, so that would mean that as of then the border hadn't closed.

Just returned from Zim this past Tuesday. Was in Vic Falls and flew out of Bulawayo. People freely crossing from Botswana and Zambia. No signs of surgical masks or additional precautions at the Bulawayo airport.

The Ebola outbreak is not stoppable. Within 18 months there will be cases of the disease in most countries in Africa.

UK media are reporting it'll be in France within 4 weeks and the UK 2 weeks after that.

Let's hope not!

ADDED

Sky News have just claimed it'll hit the UK within 16 days.

Superstition and ignorance are difficult obstacles to overcome. The average IQ of residents of most African countries is about 67.

Given the responses by the residents of Liberia and Sierra Leone to the calamity, I am not optimistic about the future of the rest of Africa.

I am not sure how practical it would be to attempt to seal any border.

South African airlines makes that stop in Dakar, Senegal between Washington Dulles and Joburg to exchange flight crews and some passengers. That being west Africa I wonder if ebola will change that schedule?
