I got mine in the mail today, and I'm going to give Alan a hard time here , admittedly it did take 4 months to receive it.

But I must say Alan well done. I'm well pleased and very impressed with the content. The quality of the lay-out and sketches is excellent. Well worth the wait and the $20. I'd recommened them highly.

Hey mark65x55,

You just set the new record for the worst service we have seen from the Zim P.O., except for the one's who didn't arrive at all!

I'm glad and irritated at the same time. I'm glad you got it, but irritated that we paid for 1st Class Air Mail. You should have gotten it within two weeks, instead of 16 weeks.

Maybe things are getting better, however. I just got the latest issue of African Hunter in the mail today, April 1st, and it was mailed January 20th. Just over two months is about right for surface mail from Zim, so maybe the mail will return to its normal incompetence instead of it's extraordinary incompetence of late.

Hey, this ain't a dirty trick, Alabama April Fool's joke is it??? I got a bad feeling that you're going to come back with a "gotcha, na na na na na". I just don't trust anybody from 'Bama telling me that everything is all right!!!

Cheers,

Alan

Gentlemen,

I still haven't received mine. I don't even remember when I ordered it, I know I did, but I think it was about 3-4 months ago. I am looking forward to finding it in my mailbox soon!!!

Mine took 29 days. I thought that was ok. It is the perfect size and very well thought out. I really like the notes section and the personal hunt info page in the back.

Hopefully I'll be filling that section up next spring.

I grabbed ours at the Dallas Show. Great little tool that is going to come in real handy!

David,

Wasn't it nice of Mims to set those out at the show, free for the taking.

Thanks again Mims, I hope I didn't step over the line by taking four of them!

Wendell...I was thinking it was Longbob that was adopted but on second thought...it was you. Did you get the ones with the centerfold girlie photos?

I think it would be neat if I could just get the rest of my order.
Then you guys wouldn't have to wait so long to get one.

Don't be so quick to rule out Longbob. With a name like that he must have some issues

Alan

Just got mine yesterday.

I think you told me I ordered it in early December. Not bad for postal "service", but as I said I was patient. In the end the patient hunter takes home the venison!

Looks good. Well done

Gentlemen,

I just double-checked. The money was taken out of my account on 12/24/01. Still haven't seen the guide yet. I am looking forward to it, though.

It's a neat little book. Maybe too neat. I bought 20 at the Dallas show to sell my clients and laid them on my table in Houston. All but 3 walked away over the course of the first day. I am glad I stuck a copy in my briefcase.

Thanks Alan for sending the guide.

I note the US stamps and postmark on the envelope, not a Zim dirty thumbprint postal mark.
