mrlexma,

Great pic of your Nyassa....I don't think I've spotted it here before.

Here is another great Nyassa, taken by Don_G on the last day of our buff hunt in the Selous last September...

416 Rem Mag, 370gr North Fork.

Cheers,
Canuck

Why the discrimination against the most beautiful of the Wildebeest, the Nyassa? Wink

Alldays, RSA 2005. This bull was with a herd of Gemsbok. He stepped out from behind some bushes and gave us the stare down. One shot under the chin from 220 yds dropped him where he stood. I will never forget how quickly he dropped. .300 wsm with 180 gr winchester fail safes.

Blue: taken in the Midlands of Zim. in '02 with a .300 gr. Part. out of a Sako in .375 H&H.

This blue gave us the slip earlier in the safari and then made a mistake several days later.

Black taken in Namibia in '03.

He "got in the way" while my hunting partner was trying to take a Mtn. zebra.

Kyler

Two days of getting busted by the wind then suddenly he was just there! Standing under a tree looking at us. A memorable hunt.

28" Blue wildebeest shot in Limpopo 2006.

Broadside shot in the shoulder at 40 meters with 270 gr Swift A-Frame from my M70 H&H.
Still it kept on going for approx 200 meters before we found him dead.

The bullet was found under the skin on the opposite shoulder and weightet only 115 gr after passing through the legbone, rib, lungs, top of the heart, ribs and shoulder bone on the opposite side. It took quite a beating.
