timg953Plains Game on Monday:)
Monday, I will start my hunt with Org Boshoff as my PH. Kudu, zebra, wildebeest, warthog, bush pig, impala and all the baboons I can shoot

. Taking a 9.3x57mm Husqvarna sporter with a vintage weaver K2.5 and 250 gr north fork bonded core soft points and a BSA Monarch Feather weight .30'06, 180gr north forks and a Weaver KV. We are hoping to get the hogs before Don Hooker joins us and scares them all away.

timg953Thanks guys, packing the cameras today so there will be plenty of pictures. I will pass on your greetings Steve. I will even use small words and short sentences so Don will understand.

I do think that the poor bugger who uttered those words would have rather been going hunting than sitting on a chair on a cool and misty morning.

How very true!

I wonder which of our American cousins will be the first to recognise those words!

We all recognize the line from the climactic scene in "Breaker Morant"
IMHO one of the 10 best movies ever made. and surprisingly historically accurate--for a movie.

Mate, I figured you, Elton or Tim would be the first to recognise it!

You're also right about the quality of the movie. - I reckon it's a corker!

12 April 2013, 06:21
timg953It was a great movie. I visited kitchener's in Pretoria, I think it was Melrose House, but I might be wrong. It didn't look much like his HQ in the movie but other than that it was spot on.

timg953Packed and headed to the airport in 10 minutes. Hate those early flights, airport is 2 hours away

15 April 2013, 23:17
ScriptusHah! I hope that you packed some warm clothing. It looks as though a couple of solid cold fronts will be here with the first winter snows, come Wednesday.

Added to the weather, is the sad problem of Tim's guns sitting on the other side of pond. Ah thit and thit again.
