Hey Gang,
It looks like our 2013 Family safari in the Save is in limbo, and we may hunt in the Bubye instead.
I have never been in the Bubye before.
Can you guys fill me in?
Big five? Nice? Game? Comparable to the Save?
Any and all comments are greatly appreciatedSmiler

D,

We were there in 2005, incredible place. Beautiful camps, big five, great hunting. You and your family will love the area.

Best of luck on your hunt.

Hi Dean,
Nuanetsi shares a south west corner boundary with BVC (just so you can place the concession). In my opinion, Nuanetsi, BVC & SVC are the top "privately" owned areas remaining of which only 2 are being hunted at the moment, as you already know.
BVC has incredible numbers of plainsgame with good numbers of all the "Big 5".The area is 323 000 HA with 9 safari camps strategically placed across the property.
You will definitely have a fantastic hunt there and if you can't get in there, then come pay us a visit again and deal with some of our plains game!
Cheers
Brent

All good here thank you.

PM/email/call me if you want any additional info on BVC. I am sure we'll link up then as BVC is just across the way.

Cheers
Brent

I was in the Bubye last September. It is an amazing place with plenty of game-plains and dangerous. tu2 Big Five are all there-elephant, leopard, lion, cape buffalo and rhino. Lion are abundant. Shot a 42"+ Buffalo there with PH Martin Nel. Big Grin I am going back with my wife in 2014 with Shaun Buffee. You will find it incredible. Good Hunting!

What species are you intending to hunt in the BVC?

It will be the four of us Brent. Leslie, Myself, and our two boys. We are hunting plains game, but I was hoping their might be a buffalo or leopard left on quota somehow...
I'm not really concerned about much, I just want to have a great family adventureSmiler
-I suspect, with the boys already 24,25 that this might be the last great adventure while they are single, so we are all really looking forward to it.

I cannot speak for the availability of 'tags' of your desired species but they certainly have some of the best Buff/Leop/PG available in Zim.

If your boys enjoy the outdoors and hunting - they'll love it as much as they would have on Sango (SVC) or on Nuanetsi.

Thanks for all the help, emails, and Pm's everyone!!
I am leaving things in the hands of our very competent Outfitter and PH, and I am not concerned one bit!!
It looks to me like Plan "B" and Plan "C" are excellent alternatives!!!
