ozhunter,

In the August 2008 issue of The Hunting Report, there is an extensive write up about Uganda. According to The Hunting Report, "Uganda is about to break wide open as an important new hunting destination".

The September issue of The Hunting Report will have more on Uganda.

If you search you will see that I posted asking abou Mau Mau's report myself. If you dig up the thread there is a PH mentioned that is hunting there.

I'll go dig it up.

Uganda is open but seems really pricey - $4950 Trophy Fee for a Ugandan Kob Eeker. Plus, Uganda has a cost structure similar to Tanzania and Zambia with concession fees ($500), rifle import fees ($150), ammo tax, and License Fees for each species. The Daily Rate at Lake Albert Lodge is $850.

I realize that there are some species in Uganda you can't hunt anywhere else but these prices seem pretty steep and there isn't even any Dangerous Game being offered currently.
