I wouldn't want to get shot by one of those blankity blank guns either.
I was once shot by an RG 22 SS revolver, that was much better.

I didn't realize that buffs could read the names of rifles off the receivers.

I remember thinking when I saw my first Blaser - ' I have seen an uglier bolt action rifle but I forget the name'. Blasers are not my cup of tea and I actually like tea.

The Blaser bolt rifles are one of the fastest bolt rifles made today, and the only thing I don't like about them is they are push feed. I don't think they are particularly ugly or smelly, however the Balser double rifles are an ugly abomination IMO! Of course they ARE double rifles and that fact alone makes them better than most bolt rifles. Big Grin

Jon, did the blazer kill that animal or was it the tough looks? Wink

You wouldn't either if you had to shoot a Blaser!

I don't own one, but the Blaser design is brilliant. And it has to be fast if you can remember not to try to raise the bolt handle.

I have a lot of respect for Mac, but we disagree about the dire consequences of using a push feed. My main, go to DG rifle is one of those terrible contraptions. It has other redeeming qualities, however, and it's never jammed. As I'm sure most Blasers must.

I do not understand why people are against Blaser rifles !

Why is it so that people are against major engineering development and something that has become a success in the market ? Envy ?

In my opinion people oversee the facts:

- Blaser R rifles is a brand of rifles with very high accuracy
- The rifles are ideal to travel with
- The rifles are very easy to handle
- The rifles are very safe
- The rifles are strong in construction

The rifle below is one of 3 Blaser rifles I hunt regularly with. Another thread on AR complains about wood to metal, metall finish etc etc. I am not sure, but I am wondering if any of these hunters ever have had a Blaser in their hands or have shot with a Blaser. All I can say is that wood to metal is perfect, metall finish is perfect, checkering is very good etc etc. It seems to me that people do not like development and market success. Especially when hearing that from americans ! Envy again ? Could it be based on the " fact " that many american rifles are almost looked upon as poor rifles with poor quality here in Europe ?
