Booked a 2012 10 day plains game hunt with old friends in some of their new areas, for both myself and a first-timer. Hunting partner has been on 3 trips but never to Namibia - probably get him and his wife along also. Will be a blast for us all.

Some great employment opportunities in the industry opened up for my son and another friend.

Got a BC goat hunt for October, a Kyrgyzstan ibex hunt for November for this year's hunts.

Also got my Aussie buff hunt deposited and dates set for my (and several other AR members) June 2012 hunt.

I really enjoyed the show also. I put no preassure on myself to book anything, but I fell off that wagon just a little.
I booked an Ibex Slam (all 4 Ibex) in Spain for 2012 with Fernando Siaz.

This year I'm full.
May - Brown Bear - Karluk Lake, Kodiak
August - Dall Sheep - Alaska
Sept. - Moose - Alaska
Sept (end)/Oct. Elk/Moose/Goat - Stone Mountain Safari's, BC
Oct. - Bighorns - Anna Fontana, BC
November - Mule Deer - Chris Faber, Montana

No Africa this year, maybe 2012.

Met with Luis & Braulio Romero to discuss my husband's Desert Sheep hunt and my Desert Mule
Deer hunt this November in Sonora, Mexico.

The hunt should be a lot of fun with their
company.

Kathi,
Have they had any problems with bandito's in that area?
I've fished Cabo as recently as this year and I also did a Desert Bighorn down there a few years back, but I've been kind of wondering about the Sonoro area.

Damn, those hunts ought to keep you busy for awhile!

Those are some great hunts, I hunted near Karluk Lake in a different unit a couple years ago and saw some great bears. Very jealous!

Rhyme of the Sheep Hunter
May fordings never be too deep, And alders not too thick; May rock slides never be too steep And ridges not too slick.
And may your bullets shoot as swell As Fred Bear's arrow's flew; And may your nose work just as well As Jack O'Connor's too.
May winds be never at your tail When stalking down the steep; May bears be never on your trail When packing out your sheep.
May the hundred pounds upon you Not make you break or trip; And may the plane in which you flew Await you at the strip.

yes we booked with Renaud through Arjun. I finalized everything with Arjun while in Reno and paid the hunt off while there. We leave Nov 9th. Should be a great hunt and I'm really looking forward to the experience.
Kathi is handling all of our flights as well.

Kathi,
Thank you, have a great hunt.

FishN4Eyes,
I've been putting in for Karluk for more years than I can remember, so I'm really pumped.
I thought I would have a slower year hunting this year, but it kind of got away from me.

UEG,

We are a few hours from Hermosillo. We will be in a tented camp, but he did say we may have to spike camp for a night or two.

If they are as funny in camp as they were at the show this really seems like it is going to be a fun trip with these gentlemen. There website is www.desert-hunt.com
