Has anyone hunted with Miombo Safari in Kilombero concession? I have a chance for a 2x1 seven day buffalo hunt with them in 05. Thanks in advance.

T, I don't know anything, first hand, about Miombo Safaris, but the kilombero Valley has some of the best Buffalo in Tanzania. Lots of long grass areas that make for some exciteing hunting for Buffalo, and lion.

I'm sure someone here has hunted with Miombo Safaris, and you should get some feed back on them soon!

Miombo are a good outfit. The kilombero is buffalo country per say and rivals the great Selous in the number of buffs it contains. Hunting is quite hard as you are constantly hunting the flood plains with 8-10 feet high grass. They have swamp devils (swamp boats) to get you around the maze of tributaries and river branches. It is a different and exciting hunt for sure.
