OK let me say this is for FUN! So no one get rapped around the axle. I had a PH, not the one I was hunting with in Bots this summer tell me he saw a report that a blaser for faster on the second shot than a double 470 because of the recoil. I posted this and all the double guys said Bull. I promised to take my times and post it. Let me say I am no professional and have been shooting a Blaser for 5 years. Here is the set up 28 yards 12 inch target. I had a buddy with a very nice stop watch. I asked him to start with the first shot and stop with the last shot. Since this was a stop watch we could be at least a 10th of a second off. I timed 2 shots and 4 shots because some said they thought the good double shooter could even reload and shoot 4 faster that the blaser. First 2 shots 2.25 seconds all in 12 inch black Second 2 shot 1.75 seconds all in 12 black First 4 shots 6.5 seconds all in black Second 4 shots 4.75 seconds all in black I was using shooting sticks. Take the test post your times. I was surprised I got off 2 shot in less than 2 seconds and the sub 5 second 4 shot. I personally think no double gets 4 shots off faster than 4.75 but the double will best the 1.75 on 2 shots. GOT TO HIT THE 12 INCH TARGET TO COUNT. Any double shooter can shoot off two round and not hit anything. REMBER THIS IS JUST FOR FUN PLEASE REMEMBER THIS IS JUST FOR FUN. Bill, I think the question was how fast you could get the second shot. But if your shoulder can take it you win NRA LIFE MEMBER DU DIAMOND SPONSOR IN PERPETUITY DALLAS SAFARI CLUB LIFE MEMBER SCI FOUNDATION MEMBER | |||
