I got the following text this week from Collen van der Linden who was hunting with a client in Mahenye:

We saw a monster ele, like 100 pound bull. 5 feet out the lip. 19 or 20 inches at the lip. Came with a bunch of cows. Got dark. More than 2 feet higher at the shoulder than any other bull.

Did you not see a bull like that one evening down on the Save river Anton? Before you took your 76 pounder? It was 76 right?

Oh yes, they are still out there for sure, thanks for that Larry, and coming from Collen we know it's spot on. I should be down there soon and will keep my eyes open and camera at the ready...

Those areas around the Gonerezhou are certainly something for elephants!
