Ausi Balyesiima
Hoima

One person was killed by a hippopotamus that attacked fisher men at Hoimo landing site along Lake Albert in Buseruka sub county Hoima district.

The Hoima district Police Commander Charles Imalingat said the hippo attacked the group last week.

Others on the boat sustained minor injuries.

The body of the deceased was still missing by press time despite a joint search by the police, the residents and the Uganda Wild Life Authority officials. "This is the third person to be killed by this hippo, two people were killed in march and April this year,"Imalingat said.

How come someone hasn,t blasted the beast to smithereeeens or at least Smithers BC.. That would probably help out, freeze it solid... Where,s Mark Sullivan when he,s needed.......... Sounds like a good job for the RED MISTER......... 5 feet - 500yrds...On the serious side those fishermen killed represent quite a few mouths to feed.. Thats a hippo that needs killin........ Someone ought to get right on it.. .. Hopefully someone will .. gumboot out.
