How old is she? We don't get her program over here.

Regardless, from what I've seen from her pictures, she still ought to be careful, and use more suncream! Smiler

Or else she'll soon look like she's in her mid 70's! Big Grin (as there's no way she's that old, I thought I'd play it safe!)

She's not as goodlooking as the girls haunting Erik's neck of the woods.

I had a wierd deal happen in New York a few years ago. Our flight from LA to NY got delayed and I ended up spending 4 hours in the airport talking to a group of 8 from Norway. We ended up sitting on the flight from LA to NY and then they put us all up in hotels in NY as we had missed our connections back to Europe. I spent all night drinking with 3 of the girls and then went shopping with them the next day in NYC.

They were charmers, almost as good as Russian girls. Out of five 20-30something Norwegian girls 3 had implants and 2 had collegen lips. Not sure if this is normal in Norway or not.

Nothing too exciting happened but it was really great to walk into Macys or Sax with 3 Norwegian hotties. The closest this fat bald man will ever get to being a pimp.

Eeker

Seth,

I can honostly say that I don't personally know a single Norwegian girl with implants and/or collegen lips.

And since topless swimming is quite common here, it's hard to not notice if things are real or not! Big Grin

I think you must have met some of the rather few that have had such alterations done.

I didn't catch the entire show today, but I did see enough to figure out that she was mud wrestling a buffalo in Queensland, or something to that effect. Made me want to strip down in join the fun!

What's the deal with those "deadly" poison toads whe was squealing about? Are they really that dangerous?

Lets see, 8 minutes of advertising, 6 minutes of crap repeated three times (18 minutes) and 6 minutes of hunting substance.

Had to check it out, she is very easy to look at and fun to watch, but as a hunting show thumbdown

I have only seen one episode buffalo in Australia, and from what I seen It's defiantly " The Cindy Garrison show ". Lots of close up camera shots of Cindy! Cindy walks in mud, Cindy falls in the mud, Cindy can't keep from laughing, Cindy has trouble shooting a double rifle, If they really wanted to increase the shows credibility they would give her a bolt action rifle, add a younger twin sister and a trampoline! We all know more guys would tune in to the " twins on trampolines hunting show"

Gleaned from the Web:

Cindy Garrison: born and spent young childhood in Oregon, family moved to San Francisco area during her teen years. She moved to Alaska to apprentice as a fly fishing guide, and ran a fly fishing travel business from Ancorage. Then in late 90s, began to tavel to Africa to hunt and fish, started her own fly-fishing guide service, and has been a TV personality in fly-fishing circles for quite a while.

My take is that she is entrepreneurial, has drive, willing to take risks, and she is for hire if you want to fly-fish in Africa.

Maybe they were on the way home after a girls "implant holiday" to Kalifornica.

Going swimming in lakes and pools in Scandanavia in hot weather is truly a worthwhile experience. Even if you never even get wet.

PWN375,
i totally agree.......the mute button is a great thing. Even though Makris (Under Wild Skies) kinda grates on me a little, he does hunt with some nice old doubles and he doesnt edit his misses....which i must respect. i love to look at Cindy and i love the fact that she also hunts w/a double (even though she seems to have trouble operating it) but she would definately get on my nerves.

My wife and I watched the show yesterday, and I am now become a Cincy Fan.

With all that energy, she sure would be hell as a "bunny hugger".

We want her on our side.

Also think half of her personality on camera is an "act". She might be just great to have in camp.

Don't judge her to harshly.

She is easy on the eyes. I do enjoy the little asides she offers as she visits local villages, providing a bit of insight into other cultures.

Of course, I also pick up a copy of Playboy just for the articles Wink

When you do a TV show. You are who the producer wants you to be. You don't know me but I have been on several TV shows hunting from my custom off road wheel chair. My health will never let me go to Africa like you gentleman.
I am from South East Texas and talk with a accent that would make you're hair stand up. I rode our Hurricane Rita alone as it wiped out my world. I may be a bubba, but I spent three days in 105 degree heat cutting my way out of here with a chain saw from a wheel chair with out seeing another human being.

As far as Cindy Garrison is concerned. It seems nobody mentioned her back ground. Razed on a Montana cattle ranch. Hunted Africa when she was 16 years old. Graduated from college then went straight to Alaska to become a fishing guide on her own for six years .. She has also guided in Africa. If you had seen her on her other shows. You would not have heard the silly laughing, and the Barbie bit. You would have seen a very professional outdoor women who has her act together.

Now this old country talking hick will get out of your way.

I like her. the show is for entertainment just like all other things on TV. This includes the news.

She goes places most of us only dream of. She doesnt appear to impress you with her knowledge. She just comes across as having a good time, which is what most of us hope to do when going places like she does.

Given what you said about Katrina, Ronnie, I doubt your wheelchair would keep you from Africa, unless you need special procedures and medical packs... There's some Dr.'s who might offer guidance. But you have more than enough visceral fortitude -- and PH's frequently claim their ability to accomodate.

With a few of these ladies in the field, the safari industry will never be the same. Actually, it is probably helpful that the ladies are sharing our sport. All the ladies showing up at the SCI meetings, as hunters, are a welcome sight Wink Trophy huntresses hunting trophies Big Grin a new concept.

I think Cindy's show is very refreshing and contagious. It seems to bring a mix of good hunting and a bit of culture. Some of the places she has put on the TV I have not been to.

How many other women bring African hunting to your TV? You guys should get your non hunting wives to watch and see how much fun she has. More power to her, I hope she has a long contract with ESPN.

Ann:

I've never been hunting with Cindy, but I doubt she'd be a better hunting companion than you.... and that comes from having the honor of being there and done that. You have true grit, lady! I'll never forget you awaiting the boat in the black dark with a bear still on the bait 20 yards away and a not-so-un-Cindy-like female giggle when I asked you if you were upset at my being "late" picking you up. Most folks would have been upset, but you thought it a hoot!

Next time that Fiona Capstick writes a Diana book, I hope you'll be in it 'cause you are the real thing... a true huntress, a great hunting buddy and a real lady! And you have long blonde hair to boot.

Like some others who have responded here, I've done some videos for Mossy Oak and Bowhunter Magazine. It ain't easy. I think Cindy is beautiful, self critical and (albeit with better hopefully better editing) a good thing for the future of blood sport.

I have to second what Terry said. My wife and I watched the show last weekend and she loved it. She said it almost made her want to go hunting. Any show that makes hunting seem attractive to those of the female persuasion has my vote.
Personally, I don't find Cindy any more annoying than any of the other movie stars who do hunting videos. I do like the subjects she does, and she is certainly eye candy. Judge G, I have hunted with you, and in my carefully considered opinion, I think Cindy is much better looking and would be a nicer hunting partner (LOL).

While you are a good guy to hunt with, I'd choose Cindy, too. She'd have come in handy in snow and wind, huh? Even better to ride double on the ATV across those bumpy plowed fields!

At least she isn't some fat, mouth breathing, Realtree clad Bubba hooting and high fiving when they shoot a deer from a corn feeder or behind some high fence operation in Texas. I never hear her say ain't, use double negatives, wear anything associated NASCAR or make the word "buck" into 2 syllables. I get so damn tired of listening to an ignorant sounding dimwits on the Bubba networks it makes me want to puke. When they kill a deer from their (insert sponsor) blind with their (insert sponsor rifle, scope and ammunition) they act like they are playing rec league softball instead of hunting. If you want to watch a show with the sound muted...try Brenda Valentine's "Buck Buster" or whatever in the hell its called. Her voice will cause epileptic seizures and she has a face that will stop an eight day clock.

This is hilarious. Man O Man is it ever so true. that outdoor channel is really hard to take. Hunt dem turkeys 'n whitetails with Floyd, Guber, and Hubcap. Oh my God!! She's cute, she likes to hunt and fish. She goes to all the exotic places that I want to go. I hear she has three sisters. She's got a Krieghoff .470 and I don't. I think she's a breath of fresh air. If McNeil isn't snuggled up with her then he must be queer, but then again I heard she's got a thing going with Ellen Degenerate. Only bad part is she's on at 6:30 a.m. mountain time on Sundays. Now maybe I'll get TIVO, whatever the hell that is.
