I was thinking it was entertainment he puts on for his DG hunters. Big Grin

Karl,
Can Dad and I expect the same treat in 2010 even though its a PG hunt? Wink

Just kidding, but wow I can't imagine what that must have been like.

Karl,
Good to hear you are okay, its a good thing Francois did not shoot could have been ugly. Made me think about that guy from Otjiwarongo who got mauled by the lion, the tracker shot the lion and in the process shot the guy through his upper leg and half his crown jewels to kingdom-come.

Hope you have a speedy recovery

Karl,

Any signs of why this leopard decided you needed a little mincing? You always hear of a grumpy buff that has a bullet in them or an infected injury of some sort deciding to stomp the snot out of someone. Any thing similar with this cat?

Glad you made it through basically in good health!

I think the subject line should read Unbelievable leopard incident instead of Unfortunate leopard incident! You are the Supreme Predator!

KARL,

You should have the beast posed such that you can
take a hold of it as you were when it died by your
hand. Then you can SHOW people exactly how it oc-
curred by re-enacting the battle!

Karl: you need a t-shirt that says "Mine cock es lackey hruit" (spelled phonetically, forgive the poor Afrikaans). You will make all the other PH's hate you with moves like that. Wear those scars PROUDLY! BN

Karl

Glad to hear you came out on top. Best wishes for a speedy recovery. Now I can tell people that I wasn't scared when I shot my leopard, because if I missed my ph would kill it with his bare hands.

So umm now that you have killed a leopard with your bare hands, what's next? A Buffalo?

And If you are going to do something crazy like this, you should get it on film. Smiler

Karl,

Amazing. Glad to hear you are doing well.

This is one of the best lines in the story:

One of my trackers shouted “Het die baas hom gevang?†(Did you catch it?)

After Karl's incident I tried to do my own stranggling on a small cat as you can see I clearly failed and was ambushed and attacked from the side by another smallish cat good action shot of me trying to get away.

Karl youre the man ! thumb

After this no one will ever ask me why I carry my pistol when hunting. Frederik has a good idea with a cross draw. Karl best of luck with your buff, stay close to big thornless trees Wink
